I have already gotten a few email questions after last night's spam
broadcast on NBC World News Tonight. The bottom line on this problem is that
the spammers now have an association of hackers and spammers working together.
This is helping them hack servers easier and be more effective in sending spam.
They are for lack of a better term swapping ideas and programs that work with
one another. Making the worst spammer/hacker an ace. One of the latest ideas
that is working very effectively for them is to use a familiar title and a
graphic instead of text for the message. This way it fools the spam filter.
There is an increase involvement by the government but nothing that will put a
dent in the problem. One major problem is a lot of them are off shore and very
difficult to track down and prosecute.
The irony of the whole issue is that if 3% of the people who receive the spam
messages did not respond and buy from them, WE WOULD NOT GET THE SPAM ANYMORE!
