Does Your Web Site Have The Trust Factor?
We use to tell our
clients to make sure they built credibility into their web site. As with
everything else on the Internet, this is changing. Prospective clients are
looking deeper into a web site for information that will ensure them that the
web site is a qualified site in many different aspects. Demographics are now
showing that a new prospect to your web site, especially one that found your
site through a search engine, is looking for your product warranty and the
company guarantees. How you stand behind a product or service is becoming a
major factor. They also want to know what is your Internet return policy is. If
you are going to offer a service through the Internet, what kind of recourse do
you offer if they are not happy with your work?
The two newest and
most popular pages being added to web sites are a company disclaimer page and a
table of contents. Things such as warrantees should be smartly located on the
home page along with shipping information just a click away.
You may be offering
the same product or service as thirty other web sites but if you present the trust
factor correctly, you have given yourself a sizable edge over your competitor.
